Use public E-mail Aliases
Calendar E-mail Extension supports public e-mail aliases, if your SharePoint's inbound e-mail domain is not public. You will need a valid e-mail alias to let external attendees respond to your invitations. Instead of meeting request senders like team-calendar @ sharepoint.contoso.ad.local you can configure aliases like team-calendar @ contoso.com .*

Private Meetings to keep information confidential
Confidential events are visible to organizers and attendees exclusively. Access to events and connected meeting workspace sites will be restricted and only organizers and attendees will be permitted to access.
Configure Meeting Request E-mail Body Templates
Full HTML Meeting Request E-mail Body Templates can be configured in Content Type settings of e-mail extended event types. Field's display names are used to configure tokens in the e-mail body that are replaced with values from the event on sending invites and updates. Configuring individual body templates enables customization on each single event to allow providing more individual information.
Time zones and daylight saving time
To support coordination globally the Calendar E-mail Extension supports time zones and daylight saving time.
Recurrence and Occurrence
Recurring meetings and divergent occurrences are fully supported. Calendar E-mail Extension tracks changes, sends updated meeting requests for divergent occurrences and keeps information in meeting workspaces up to date.
Automatic Meeting Workspace Provisioning
Calendar E-mail Extension accepts meeting requests and publishes meetings on SharePoint Calendar lists. In addition it creates and provides access to meeting workspace sites and notifies the meeting's organizer. Automatic Meeting Workspace Provisioning and the template to be used by default can be configured per list. This feature can be configured to allow external meeting organizers like gmail users on android phones to override missing access and permissions and provide meeting workspaces.
