DocRead is a SharePoint Solution that let's the site owner decide what documents are important, ex: Policies, etc and make them mandatory to read with an Audience. You than have the reporting that tells you who read it and who didn't.
Furthermore, you can set deadlines in days from when you added the task until they have to read it. The other cool part is that if a new user joins the department, they will still have the same number of days to read the document until the task is overdue. It does everything it advertises to do really really well, and the documentation and support are A+.
