Professional Looking Org Charts

This product provides a nice solution for managing organization charts on SharePoint. The ability to print the org chart is important to many companies, as is the ability to create a variety of views of the same chart data. This product was chosen to replace a previous web part solution at one customer site because of the ability to maintain the organization charts within SharePoint without accessing the server directly. Overall, the product does a nice job streamlining the effort to produce an organization chart within SharePoint.

Nice visual web part

Overall a nice product that will fit some organizations requirements and allow for a quick implementation of visual organization charts.
The new 2.6 version appears to provide more features and better connections to Active Directory, eliminating some of the update steps involved with the previous versions.

XML input used to create corporate Organization charts is handy if you are extracting data from other systems.
Ability to utilize photos is a nice feature that is desired by most companies.
Nice feature allowing a link from the person to a site.
Employee Locator provides search capability for WSS users or MOSS sites without Search configured.
Cons
Updates require access to server.
Organizational structure management could be made easier.

Excellent tool for migrations and SharePoint site

The most useful tool for migrations because it allows you to continue to get value out of the product AFTER the migration is complete!

Pros
This tool is easy to use and allows you to migrate whole sites or portions of them to SharePoint 2007. The ability to move portions of a site is especially helpful if you want to re-vamp your sites or site collections and move sites, lists or libraries to different locations. Additionally this is a great tool to help you move from Development to Test to Production since it allows you to use a 2007 site as a source and a destination. I personally used it to migrate "a lot" of sites from 2003 to 2007. I also regularly moved sites and lists from Test to Production and I love it. The Batch feature is handy when you want to selectively pick lists or libraries for migration.
Administrators will also love that they can work from their desk rather than on the server. Once the server components are installed, the administrator simply launches the Migration Manager and gets down to work.
Cons
None, this product works well and does everything as advertised.

Need a Conference Room Manager?

If you have been looking for a tool to help you manage conference rooms in SharePoint, then this 3rd party product may be your solution. I needed a tool that enhanced the way SharePoint presented rooms and calendar events for our conference rooms, and this was the best tool I could find.

Not only was it a snap to setup, but it also allowed me to customize it to fit our needs. I am implementing this product with a custom SharePoint Designer workflow to allow some oversight of room scheduling. We have some rooms that require an approval before the meeting/event can be posted on the calendar. The built-in "waiting list" concept made that an easy task for my workflow.

Overall, this is a handy product that works well, is pretty flexible, and doesn't break your budget.

Pros
It allows you to quickly and easily implement a solution for room management while making use of mostly Out Of the Box SharePoint features. Room management can be delegated down to appropriate levels and the Administrator shouldn’t have any major tasks after the initial setup.
Cons
Minor problem with the display of some of the pre-defined colors for events on our test server.
