The term "podcasting" is a little misleading as the Podcasting Kit goes well beyond what one would expect from a podcasting solution. While PKS obviously does accommodate podcasting it allows you to turn it into a proper social/professional network tool with users being able to publish new recordings, view recording by published, category etc, rate them etc.
PKS can easily be used for example as an interactive knowledge management system within a company, a training system etc.
