If you want to see how your SharePoint is setup and functioning this free tool is worth installing as it can save you days.
AvePoint offer excellent support on all their products and are worth considering when it comes to SharePoint applications.

Permission to Columns Sorted

Superb product. It is a great tool because now you can hide individual columns from users. For example, Payroll and Administration can share the same list but have different security levels. The Payroll Department can see the column that includes how much John Slater earns, but the Administration can only see his basic details.
The part I really like was the quick install. Just a few clicks and the software gave me a list of Portals where I might want to install the extra feature. Within two minutes and without having to read any manuals or pdf's I had added the 'Column Protector' to my SharePoint Sites. All my Lists, Document Libraries, even my Links all had an extra setting listed under 'Settings' called 'SharePoint Content Protector'. Brilliant, and I managed to work out the settings straight away on how to add permissions to columns.
Has to be tried to see how simplet to install it is and how powerful it can make your lists.

Charts & Reports
Great 3D charts

Excel Services in SharePoint are good, but the 2D charts let it down and you are limited to having only two axis's. So Dudas answers a lot of customer requirements for glossy charts.
Only drawback is it is not easy to compile the queries unless you have a background in SQL. You have to but together the strings yourself.

To move a large number of files from a network Share to SharePoint this is the tool you want.
With many of Officetalk's SharePoint Project work Vyapin's DockIT is the first application we recommend as we know it works.
Very good support from Vyapin as well.

Scan in a Document Library

This simple addition to a Document Library makes life so much easier. Instead of having to scan to Word and then upload the file to SharePoint you can scan straight into SharePoint by having the option 'Scan' appearing in the Document Library dropdown.
A number of our customers have used this product and none of them have had any issues.
The simple ideas are the best.

Organisation Chart

Tried the free trial of this and it looked to be exactly what one our customers wanted. Unfortunately we were unable to get it to successfully install and had issues with webpart being 'unsafe'.
Did not get much joy contacting support so are now looking at alternative solutions for Organisation Charts on SharePoint.

Superb package that allows you to take SharePoint anywhere you go.
If your company has SharePoint and even just one laptop user you must have Colligo Reader. All our clients who have tried the download are still using it now.
