The SharePoint Manager 2007 is a SharePoint object model explorer. It enables you to browse every site on the local farm and view every property. It also enables you to change the properties (at your own risk). This tool is for developers that like to know what the SharePoint holds of secrets.

SharePoint Manager is a nice tool which targeted administrator and developers for their everyday tasks. It provides you almost the same functionality as SharePointSpy, but has a lot of information for infrastructure guys/administrators as well.

Great help for Admins

This is an excellent tool for visualizing how SharePoint is layed-out by Object model, as well as the bonus of being able to update many of the editable properties including Document Libray/List XML if needed.

Product Reviews

Pros -Drill-down to any setting and parameter
-Ability to change many of the SharePoint properties only available through stsadm.exe
Cons -Doesn't highlight what can/can't be edited, just when you try to make a change and it is not updated

Great Help for developers

I was able to use it in a work arround to change the workflow task content type from hidden to visible, to be able to inherit from it in the UI...
that plus being able to discover the sharepoint object GUID.
