Active Directory (AD) Tools for SharePoint developed by Burke Holland is a package of two web parts. The first is AD Self Service, and the second is AD Password Manager.
The AD Self Service module allows users to change certain fields in their active directory profile. This is important in SharePoint because users will see certain peices of the profile that they want to change and can't because they are parts of active directory. This web part gives them the ability to make their own changes.
The AD Password Manager web part is a simple password change web part which allows users to change their network (or AD) password from within SharePoint. This is helpful when delivered as part of an intranet/extranet solution.
