Great Product, Great Price

I purchased the Muhimbi PDF converter to give a client the ability to convert documents and InfoPath Forms to PDFs before they were added to a records center and it works perfectly,it also integrated well with Nintex Workflow 2010. I will utilize this product with future clients.

We have been testing this to create contracts from Sharepoint List data. After a few initial problems with 64bit server, the product is up and running very nicely. Jeroen was a great problem solver.

I have conducted and extensive online research for PDF convertors products since Microsoft is not including this widely used in corporate world tool into Sharepoint functionality, and nothing came close to FUNCTIONALITY/PRICE rate as Muhimbi's PDF converter. Great Product and good integration into Sharepoint interface and workflows. (APIs you can use in combination with their other Sharepoint product (Workflow PowerPack) or in any of your custom code.)

PDF Converter for Sharepoint

Our company had a need to convert a browser-enabled InfoPath form to a PDF to maintain a permanent copy of the submitted form. We wanted to do this without using code. We had done a lot of research and found Muhimbi to be the best product and were well pleased with the price.

We did have some issues with forms using External Data Connections. We found that if you don't auto load the data and run queries using rules then the form would convert.

Really solid product offering. Does what it is supposed to do. Very good integration with SharePoint, also has a very powerful web services API.

Support is top-notch, knowledgable and very responsive.

PDF Convertor for SharePoint

Our specific need was to form a PDF of high quality from a list item in MOSS 2007. Although users enter information into this list via InfoPath, we created a workflow to write this information to a list so we may provide reporting and charting off the list items in a fashion we had become accustomed to. We created an event handler that will convert the list item into a pre-determined template for this list and then attach the processed PDF back onto the list item for distribution to the proper people. This product not only work well, but was a perfect fit. Soon after we purchased the this product a newer version than what we developed our code against was released adding even greater functionality. Although this review is for what can be considered a legacy version it worked incredibly well. I was able to deliver my project in a timely fashion without a lot of technical issues.

Support is also important, I did have an issue on our production server when I modified some code to support various fields. When I called Muhimbi I was greeted by a real person. I did not have to wait for days or communicate via email for hours. After a few moments we quickly realized that the issue was with my code and not the Muhimbi product.

I am very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for it's functionality.

Pros This product allows for functionality not available with other add on's or products. In looking for a solution we selected PDF Converter by Muhimbi for it's ability to be called from a workflow. This product was a perfect fit for our need.

If you are looking for a product like this one then you wont find one any better.

Pros This product has simplfied our work in creating documents for our web site. We have several people that create documents and instead of having to purchase individual licenses for adobe we can create our documents in word or other applications and convert on the site itself from any location instead of a certain location.
Cons None that I can think of. The only issues that I have had have been user caused. (ME) After talking with support they quickly solved my problems and took the time to teach me.

Pros This is a great product if you are using InfoPath Form Services and serving browser-enabled InfoPath forms. With the use of one simple workflow and the PDF Converter, our client's forms were available for PDF instantly and the formatting was perfect.
Cons We were among the first to get the beta (pre-released) product, do there was some adjusting the dll files at first. Muhimbi's support hand-held us through the patches, and we were up and running quickly.
