Metadata Migration
Tzunami Deployer for File Share facilitates metadata management. Tzunami Deployer migrates the basic set of metadata from the file share into SharePoint, including system properties, such as Created By, Creation and Modification dates.
Although the system properties are considered the most important metadata, they are often insufficient. Using Tzunami Deployer for File Share, users can analyze the content of the migrated files, and extract additional metadata based on the IFilter technology. This metadata can be migrated, using property mappings, to any SharePoint properties.
Security Migration
Security settings are often placed on network shares, to restrict access to the content. When migrating to SharePoint, it is often useful to retain those security settings. Tzunami Deployer for File Share allows users to perform security migration. Using Tzunami Deployer’s security mappings, users can perform the migration of users, groups and permissions even across Active Directory domains.
