The SharePoint Calculated Column Web Part has been developed to allow users to display metrics based on numbers in a custom list in SharePoint. Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly calculations can be displayed by editing the filters in the tool part pane. Additional filters allow the user to choose the operation to use, such as: Sum, Min, Max, Avg for a SharePoint calculated field.
The web part also provides additional SharePoint calculated column functions allowing users to perform calculations based on the currently logged in user. This lends itself well for displaying sales, commissions or performance numbers that are owned by a particular individual and easily comparing them to past intervals.
