What's New Web Part is the new and changed List item content aggregator. With support for more than 20 standard Content Types, 42 Column display choices, Grid and Summary view layouts, and nearly 2 dozen additional configuration options, it lets users find the most recent changes to new and modified List item content across multiple sites, and they can also choose how to display that content in familiar SharePoint styled views.
Use it to display new or changed content from the current site, the current site and its sub-sites, or an entire site collection. Results are security trimmed and can be displayed in familiar Windows SharePoint Services styled Grid or Summary views. Place the web part on a SharePoint web part page in multiple zones with multiple configurations to easily create consolidated dashboards of the content that is being added or changed on your SharePoint sites.
