SEBLib 1.0 allows you to handle all your books in SharePoint. You can manage lending process of your printed books and you can search digital books by content. Books can be categorized in hierachical categories and placed aroung various locations in the company. Every user can handle his own books without the need of a professional librarian. Users can track their favorite material and manage their wish lists.

SEBLib acts as information portal for less skilled users giving them directions for search of desired material on the internet by displaying lists of web libraries and online stores.

The SEBLib digital library is a corporate library management system specialized for use in business organizations. It is built as a site template for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007 and as such it is integrated into your organization’s intranet portal offering you flexibility and extensibility included in the underlying document management and collaboration system.

SEBLib offers personalized pages where users can see their favorite material, reservations, loans and wish lists. With a user-friendly search, you can find the desired material either by full text search inside digital material content or in a more advanced way by specifying various predefined metadata fields (author, title, category, location etc.).

In business organizations, material is often distributed among various teams as opposed to the classical library where material is stored in a central location – on library shelves. Lack of a central catalogue of purchased material limits material availability to closed groups of people. SEBLib material can be managed by the people who own it and use it the most.
